The 20 Best Free iPhone Games
There are lots and lots of free games out there for the iPhone and iPod Touch but it’s pretty tough to figure out which ones are worth downloading.
Here’s a list of games I think you’ll enjoy and best of all…they’re free! They won’t cost you a cent! You can’t beat that!
20. Audi A4 Driving Challenge
There are a some good racing games for the iPhone but not many are free. Audi A4 fits into the “free car game” niche nicely. It’s not going to give Crash Bandicoot a run for his money but it works nicely as a free car simulation game.
You get to drive your Audi for 3 laps around 5 different courses. Your job is to avoid the cones and keep your car moving without adding to your time. Hit a cone and you get a second added to your lap time. Audi A4 is less a high speed racing game and more of a precision driving simulation. Take your time and have fun.
19. Cannon Challenge
In Discovery’s Cannon Challenge you’ll have to take command of a NLOS (Non-Line-of-Sight) Cannon and use it to destroy enemy targets. You’ll need to use elevation and velocity controls to direct your fire and it’s not quite as easy as it looks at first.
The difficulty and number of targets will increase as you go through rounds. If you don’t use ammunition you get extra bonus points for whatever is left over at the end of a round. Think you have what it takes to hit the target? Then fire up Cannon Challenge and find out!
18. Invazion Lite
If you’ve ever played Space Invaders then you’ll feel right at home with invazion Lite. This version plays well on the iPhone but you only get one life so use it well! It looks like there might be a full version later that will have more.
Still, what could be more satisfying then blasting annoying smilie faces into smithereens?
17. Smack A Toon Lite
If you’ve ever played any kind of Whack A Mole games at a fair then you’ll feel right at home with Smack A Toon Lite. Start the game and then start whacking or I should say…smacking…Gary the Gopher.
If you want the full experience you’ll need to buy the full version otherwise you get 15 seconds of gameplay per round in this lite version.
How high can you get your score? Gary the Gopher is waiting for you…
16. Tap Tap Revenge
Games like Guitar Hero are all the rage these days and if you’re a fan of them then you’ll like Tap Tap Revenge. In Tap Tap Revenge you have to shake your iPhone or tap on the screen as musical notes come down. As you tap or shake your score goes up as the song plays.
Tap Tap Revenge isn’t a complicated game but it’s fun and who knows…maybe you’ll be the next big thing!
Enjoy the blog? Feel free to leave a tip by buying me a cup of coffee. Thanks!
